People seem to get inspired and creative when they come to Zihuatanejo… and often fall so much in love with the place that they either end up coming back regularly year after year or simply uproot themselves totally from their native home environment and move here. Recently I was tripping around the Internet and came across a series of videos about Ixtapa Zihuatanejo that I hadn’t seen before. Here are a couple of the best examples of the creative urge that I came across…
This first one is a song by John Fern… A fun song expressing a love of Zihuatanejo (and beaches and warm weather) as its central theme…and of course the lyrics echo what we hear over and over again: “I wish I could just stay right here in Mexico…” I don’t know John but I appreciate his spirit.
This second video portrays the lazy La Ropa beach life of a couple of enthusiastic visitors, great shots of people going about their daily business in town and in the market, scenes of fishing, turtles, beaches…very representative of Zihua and Mexico, much of what you might see and experience if you came here for a visit, as long as you were one of more adventurous types of visitor who eschews the reclusive cultural protection of an all-inclusive and the like. This one made me want to move to Zihuatanejo myself, and I already live here!
