La Ropa Beach is the longest and often considered the best beach within the confines of gorgeous Zihuatanejo Bay. It is a residential-touristic neighborhood that is growing rapidly and offers a series of accommodations ranging from exclusive boutique hotels and luxury vacation rentals to smaller, quaint guest houses, condominium and bungalow rentals.

La Ropa Beach

Las Gatas Beach is near the mouth of Zihuatanejo Bay and accessible only via small boat taxi from the municipal pier, and over a rough, rocky path leading from the end of La Ropa Beach. The beach area itself has little in the way of accommodations, but the hillside overlooking Las Gatas is undergoing rapid change and construction, and already has several private residences and condominium projects either completed or under development.

Above and behind La Ropa and Las Gatas beaches is the new development of Cerro del Vigia, in which are cropping up a number of luxurious residences, condominiums, boutique hotels and more luxurious bay-view vacation rental options.
