Alcoholics Anonymous official website

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a worldwide mutual aid movement describing itself as “a fellowship of men and women” whose “primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety”.  Co-founded in 1935 by Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith (Bill W. and Dr. Bob) in Akron, Ohio, AA suggests that its members follow its program of character development the Twelve Steps.
